Barrier Success
Stuart Webb specialises in barrier practice, giving horses genuine confidence and experience at the gates before they ever step onto a raceday track. With two dedicated barrier setups, one for practice, and one built to performance standard. Horses progress from foundational education through to full jump-outs that closely simulate real race conditions.
That work makes a real difference for horses who’ve struggled at the gates. Loft Vega, a mare trained by Cranbourne trainer Alex Rae, spent extensive time at Denistoun Park for dedicated barrier education after being barred. That groundwork paid off: she now holds a career record of 3 wins from 8 starts and over $56,300 in prize money, including a debut win on heavy ground at Pakenham.
